- Please check our website first, where we have put together all the key points for you. If you still do not find the information or the answer to your question, simply give us a call.
- If you book through our website, please enter all details completely and correctly so that everything runs smoothly.
- We recommend booking your trip as early as possible, as our capacity is limited.
- If you do not yet know whether your employer will give you leave for the trip, you can still book and cancel free of charge up to 4 weeks before departure.
Visa7 recommendations
- Processing the visa can take 2 to 3 weeks. If you need your passport during this time, German citizens can apply for a second passport. That way you stay independent and still have a valid passport.
- If you would like to book your own hotel, we recommend booking flights and hotels only after your visa has been granted.
- Please send your documents by express mail; for security reasons we recommend registered mail less.
- Please send us your visa documents complete and insured.
- When sending your visa documents, please write your first and last name on the back of the passport photos.
- If you would like your visa processed faster, we can arrange this for an extra charge.
- Please be patient and do not call the embassy. Constantly asking about the status puts extra strain on the embassy staff. In such cases, please call us directly.
Flight and transport7 recommendations
- Allow yourself some buffer around flight times. There may be short-notice changes or delays. We recommend being ready for the trip 1 to 2 days beforehand. Tight plans of just a few hours do not always work out.
- We recommend arriving at the airport 4 hours before departure, as unexpected things can happen. Sometimes we need this time to solve the rare problems that come up.
- Especially on the return flight, please plan exactly as much luggage as is allowed. Please avoid spreading excess weight across your fellow travellers, as others do not want to take responsibility for your belongings.
- If you are well below the allowed weight, you can buy extra Zamzam water at the airport. Pack the water in a separate case, not with your belongings, in case your luggage does not arrive.
- Because we book group tickets, we cannot always arrange seating perfectly. Brothers and sisters in the same group should be flexible and help each other, for example by swapping seats.
- When we fly with Saudi Airlines, you can use Deutsche Bahn’s offer and get a rail ticket to the airport for a small fee. It is valid on all Deutsche Bahn trains for 24 hours before departure.
- Always keep your valuables with you or in your hand luggage. If you are unwell, please pack your medication.
Hotel6 recommendations
- We choose our hotels by criteria such as distance, location, surroundings and noise. Please respect our decision and do not treat every small detail as crucial; our hotels are carefully selected. Focus on the overall organisation, as we will spend most of our time outside the hotels.
- Please avoid conflicts and arguments with hotel staff. They mostly come from poor backgrounds and are simply doing their job. If there is a problem, talk to them calmly or pass it on to us. We always try to find a solution.
- Look out for elderly people and those in poor health. Give them priority, for example at the lifts, at meals and in queues.
- To avoid waiting and problems, the last person to leave the room should always hand the single key card in at reception.
- Please always keep showers and toilets clean and be considerate of others. Do not use other people’s toiletries. If you urgently need something, you can ask your roommates.
- Agree with each other on using the air conditioning and do not always turn it up fully. Make sure it is not set too cold, as the change in temperature makes it very easy to fall ill.
Hajj3 recommendations
- Please prepare for Hajj thoroughly. Read books, ask your local imams or attend seminars. Many travellers think they can prepare at short notice once they are there. Even though our group leaders give instructions and talks, you should study the subject in depth. The better you prepare, the more rewarding and easier your Hajj will be.
- If you have questions, always ask the group leader. Asking each other usually leads to misunderstandings. Please also do not criticise others because they act or pray differently.
- Follow the rules of Hajj and hold to the Qur’an and Sunnah. Do not neglect acts of worship as you please. Follow our experienced and learned group leaders.
Umrah3 recommendations
- See your Umrah as preparation for a future or planned Hajj. You will then find it easier than people who have never been to Saudi Arabia.
- For your first time, we recommend Umrah, as there are fewer crowds in Saudi Arabia then and you have more chance to explore everything.
- Umrah is highly recommended for families with children, as it is less busy and the weather is more pleasant.
Other4 recommendations
- We cannot claim to get everything one hundred percent right, because pilgrimages have unfortunately become more difficult and unexpected things often happen. Even as organisers we cannot always foresee everything.
Examples are unexpected events with flights, hotels, accommodation, visas and so on. However, we always strive to create the best conditions for your stay in Makkah and Madinah. Our experienced guides speak German, Urdu, Arabic and Turkish. - Prepare yourself for a demanding but also unique journey. It will be the journey of your life, but you must be ready for anything. Do not see it as a holiday but as an Islamic journey of consideration, tolerance and patience. You may sometimes have unpleasant experiences and need to bear them, knowing that you will also be rewarded for it.
- Please follow the organisers, even if your group leaders make mistakes or there are delays. Hold back and try to keep to the planned programme. In the end you will see that your patience and devotion were worth it.
- Please never compare us with other organisers. Every organiser has their own strengths and weaknesses and their own schedule; we should focus only on our programme.
